Is This Considered a Fumble?

I made a post a couple weeks back about being able to keep up with my brother's football games thanks to photographer Allen Greene's website. Imagine the look of shock/horror that spread across my face for all of 2.2 seconds when I clicked "next" and this photo appeared:

Yup, that's my brother...#78, mooning the entire field in mid-tackle. After the 2.2 seconds of shock/horror passed, I laughed my butt off! Don't worry, when I called him to tell him about it, he was already aware of it and was laughing about it too. He's such a good sport!

Saturday 9: Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying

1. When was the last time you cried? Earlier this week. I've been a bit emotional lately.

2. If you could wake up tomorrow with a new talent, what would it be? Some sort of artistic ability.

3. Who is someone (other than yourself) would you like to go back into your past and talk to and why? My Grandma (my mom's mom). She passed away when I was 5 years old. I hate to say it, but I don't really remember much about her. I'd like to get to know her.

4. What is your favorite meal eating out? I always tend to go with some sort of chicken.

5. Do you feel energized or drained by being in a group situation? If the answer is "it depends," on what does it depend? It depends on my mood, the atmosphere, the personalities of those in the group, the reason for being in the group situation in the first place and probably some other factors that I am forgetting at the moment.

6. What word do you use far too frequently? The word No. lol We are always telling the kids no or stop.

7. What’s a word you’ve invented? (alternate question: What needs a word but doesn’t have one yet?) I can't say I've actually invented a word...

8. Pick out one of your favorite songs. Go to Song Facts and tell us about the song's history. The song I chose is "Have you ever seen the Rain?" by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The facts listed about it are:
  • This is John Fogerty's take on the imminent departure of his brother Tom from the band. The line, "I want to know -- have you ever seen the rain comin' down on a sunny day?" refers to Tom leaving while CCR was at its commercial zenith. The flip side of this single, "Hey Tonight," is John reassuring the band that all would go well despite the adversity.
  • Tom Fogerty left the group in early 1971, after this album was released. He released three solo albums before dying of tuberculosis in 1990. A fourth album, completed in 1988, was released posthumously. (thanks, Brad Wind - Miami, FL, for above 2)
  • This was used in the TV show Tour Of Duty, which was set in Vietnam during the war. (thanks, Brian - Shaker Heights, OH)
  • Bonnie Tyler covered this song for her 1983 blockbuster album Faster Than the Speed of Night. Her version reached #47 in the UK. (thanks, Jerro - New Alexandria, PA)

9. What is your absolute favorite piece of furniture you have and why? All of my furniture is still at my parents house in Tennessee, but I'd have to say my favorite piece is my bed! It's just so comfy and relaxing.

Changes

As some of you may have already noticed, I've been making some changes to my blog.

I started this week with posting about giveaways that interest me and that I think may interest you as well. I'm looking into doing product reviews as well. I'll continue to participate in the memes that I enjoy playing along in and posting about home life and school. So, I'm not taking anything away...just adding to.

My blog now officially has it's own Facebook fan page and Twitter page. I also felt it was time to create an email address specifically for the blog (mynotsolittlemusings(@)gmail(dot)com) because I already have so much stuff that comes to my main email.

Thank you guys so much for your continued support!

Thursday Thunks: Do Elephants Come With a GPS Installed?

1. School is back in session for all little girls and boys now. What, in your life, changes when kids go back to school? Sarah and I go back to school as well, so our schedules and routines completely change.

The Sunday Seven

I did this week's Sunday Seven a little differently since no one else has been playing along on Patrick Phillips' blog the last couple weeks. So, this week since I was sitting around with my roommates and a couple of our friends, I asked for their answers to this question. So, without further ado here is our compiled list of answers. I'm sure you'll see we were being a bit comical, LOL. Hope you enjoy!

  • George Bush on the $20 bill
  • Jackie Chan on the $10 bill
  • Katt Williams on the $5 bill
  • Elton John on the $2 bill
  • Bill Clinton on the $1 bill

Sunday Stealing: The Sunday Stealing Player's Meme

Cheers to all of us thieves!

1. :::sniff, sniff::: Is the dog in the house? Nope. We don't have a dog.

2. What is the best piece of advice you've ever received? It is what it is and it always will be, so you might as well go ahead and make the best of it.

3. What's the worst experience you've ever had involving alcohol? I was 19 and we bought the biggest bottle of Barton's vodka you could find at the liquor store and decided to mix it with kiwi-strawberry juicy juice. I got trashed, woke up the next morning feeling like hell and couldn't find my cell phone. I refuse to drink vodka, ever. And to this day, kiwi-strawberry juicy juice still doesn't taste right.

4. What's the worst thing you've ever done to another person? I was mad at a friend of mine once, so I hacked his myspace and changed all of his profile information to say he was a gay go-go dancer. He's actually a straight man. Whoops.

5. Who do you think started the concept of memes? Someone who was bored and wanted to find out more about the people behind the blogs in the bloggersphere.

6. Give a song title or line that describes how you are feeling right now. Eminem ~ Love the Way you Lie

7. What's your favorite search engine? Yahoo!, Google, Ask, Bing? or something else? Google

8. If Paul is the Cute One and John is the Smart One and George is the Quiet One and Ringo is the Funny One, which Beatle are you? Ringo

9. The democratic government decides that, not only do we have to share our money with people who choose not to work, we also have to share our children with those who do not want to ruin their bodies with being pregnant. Which child do you give up? I don't have a child to give up, so I guess they're SOL

10. When should you procrastinate - now or later? Well, I was always told procrastination is like masturbation. Sure they both feel good in the moment, but in the end you're only screwing yourself.

11. What is your favorite fast food? Arby's

12. What was your favourite game as a child? Candy Land

13. Why terrible twos have to be terrible? I guess so they can get the terribleness out of their system early? lol

20. Described yourself using two words that rhyme. (i.e. fuddy-duddy) silly nilly

21. If you were given the option of a "do-over" in life .. would you take it? No, I like who I am. If things were done over differently, I may not be the same.

22. What movie makes (or has made) you cry? What touched you about it? The Notebook. It's one of my favorite movies. I can only hope that one day I will find someone who loves me that much.

25. How different are you in real life as compared to the online identity you have created for yourself? I don't think I am any different. I always try to be honest and be myself. I guess it just depends on how you on the other side perceive it online versus how you'd perceive it if we were face to face.

26. Do you know what your parents would have named you if you had been born the opposite sex? Noah James
