Saturday 9: Lies

1. When was the last time you lied and why? Yesterday when I told Mattie we'd go play outside if she took a nap. She wanted to go play outside and it was nap time, so I told her we'd play outside if she took a nap. I half-heartedly intended to follow through, but it was so hot outside and by the time she woke up, she had forgotten about it so I didn't bring it up.

2. If you could move anywhere and take someone with you, where would you go and who would you take? I'd move back to South Carolina and take Anna & DJ with me.

3. What was the last thought before falling asleep last night? I wondered what time the Sprint Store would be open this morning so that I could get my Blackberry fixed.

4. What’s your favorite style of underwear for the opposite sex? boxers or boxer briefs

5. If you didn't have to work, would you? If you work from home, are there days you’d rather be in the workplace? I'd want to work at least part time, regardless. A break from the house is always nice *lol*

6. What is a secret that you wouldn't mind everyone knowing? Well, if I didn't mind everyone knowing, it wouldn't be a secret now would it?

7. What’s a favorite movie that you wouldn't want anyone to find out about? I don't care who knows what my favorite movies are. My tastes are my tastes and just because you may not like the movie doesn't mean I can't and vise versa.

8. What’s you favorite all time medical and why? I have no idea how to interpret this question, therefore I am skipping it.

9. What’s the worst relationship mistake that you wish you could take back? Honestly, none. Every mistake I have ever made, relationship wise or otherwise, has taught me something and I wouldn't be who I am today without those lessons.

TGIF!!

I know, I didn't post anything yesterday other than Thursday Thunks. My daily life is pretty mundane at the moment, so I don't always have a whole lot to talk about. Plus, I don't want to bore anyone to tears. For right now, my goal with this blog is to post at least something each day, whether it be a meme or just some photos, and when I feel the need to update on life I will. I feel this goal will also be easy to achieve once I have a real job again since meme's don't take but a few minutes to complete and I take photos like crazy. I'm serious, my digital goes everywhere with me!

I think everyone around here is just about over the worst part of their colds. I know I am. Mya still has a little bit of a runny nose and Mattie still sounded a little wheezy when she was here, but for the most part everyone is looking and sounding better.

I wish I would hear back from ACT as to whether I'm eligible for rehire or not. I desperately need to go back to work.

No significant plans for the weekend. Of course, that is subject to change. I won't have Mattie again until Monday, so I'm free to do whatever, whenever.

Friday 5: Cooookieeee!

1. What is absolutely the best cookie you’ve ever had? chocolate chip oatmeal walnut

2. What is a cookie you really don’t care for? I have NO idea what they are called, but they're itty bitty "drop" cookies, covered in powder suger and really have no flavor.

3. What are some other cookies you are rather fond of? chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, ginger bread....I could go on and on *lol*

4. Grocery-store cookies are, of course, never as good as anything that comes out of someone’s kitchen, but what’s a packaged cookie that’s still pretty good? oreo

5. In general, do you think cookies should be chewy and gooey, or should they be crispy and crunchy? chewy and gooey for the most part but really, it depends on what kind of cookie it is...cuz oreo's would be gross chewy and gooey but fresh baked chocolate chips are amazing when they are chewy and gooey.

Thursday Thunks: Turn the tv off and Turn on the Radio

Are you a Facebooker? Are you addicted to those stupid games that suck a person in at the drop of a hat? Would you care to share your Facebook identification link so that we may all stalk you be your friend? I'm a hard core facebooker. I check it like 10,000 times a day *lol* It's awesome because I've reconnected with so many people I went to elementary, middle and high school. I'm hopelessly addicted to farmville. I have a facebook widget on my blog, add me if you want. Just be sure to tell me where you found me when you send the request *lol*

If you had to be magically transformed into an animal that you loathe, which one would it be? And don't give me those "none" answers...
I don't really loathe any animals, except stinky skunks. So, I guess a skunk.

What is the strangest thing you have said to:

* get a job? I don't think I've ever said anything "strange" to get a job, but I'm definately guilty of shmoozing.
* get a date? I'm too shy to ask someone out on a date, they gotta ask me.

What cartoon character do you find the most sexiest? Tinkerbell *lol*

When dog food is new with improved tasting, who tests it? Well, I know it's not me so I could really care less who's testing it.

What does OK actually mean? yes

If a person owns a piece of land do they own it all the way down to the core of the earth? No, the boundries do end somewhere.

When you were in high school and were sitting in math class... when the day came to learn about 3.14, did you get hungry? Yeah, but math was right before lunch so I was lucky.

Have you ever been on the radio? yup, for the My 4 @ 4.

Beans, beans the magical fruit The more you eat, the more you toot The more you toot, the better you feel So let's have beans at every meal! Why do people say that when beans are vegetables? To get kids to eat them I guess.

What about tv? And I don't mean physically on top of the tv either, you silly people. Same goes for the radio question. Not to my knowledge

Do you think Adam & Eve had belly buttons? absolutely

If you were going to own a liquor store or a bar, what would you name it? Bottoms Up

How about you own a grocery store - what's it's name? I don't know....don't really ever see myself owning a grocery store.

If you could only watch one tv show for the rest of your life and no other, what would it be? And yes, it's going to be in series form so you don't actually have to watch the same episode over and over. Everwood

What was the name of your 3rd grade teacher? Mrs. Bilodeau

Do you know how to parallel park? Not really....I can, but not perfectly.

What kinds of cereal do you have in your home right at this very moment? Cap'n Crunch, Coco Puffs, Cheerios, Corn Flakes & Cinnamon Toast Crunch

If you were to have a garage sale tomorrow, what is the first item you own that you would say "I'm selling THAT!"? Nothing *lol* I'm too much of a pack rat for that!

Mission Accomplished

Everyone got where they needed to be when they needed to be there this morning. It was definitely a busy day for me. I stayed on the go pretty much all day because after taking Marie to work, Joe's appointment and Mike's interview I took Joe car shopping then took Marie and Gavin to Gavin's doctor's appointment. I'm just now settling down and having a chance to breathe. I didn't have Mattie today because she was sick, but she will be back tomorrow.

Why must I get myself in over my head?

I should be in bed. It's almost midnight. Marie has to be in work at 6:30 a.m., Joe has probation in Blountville at 8 a.m. and Mike has a job interview in Boone's Creek at 9:45 a.m. and some how, some way I have to tackle the superwoman task of making sure everyone gets where they need to go while I'm also babysitting Mattie and also keeping an eye on Mya and Nae Nae while Mike is in his interview. I don't know how I'm gonna swing it.

I still feel bad. I'm trying to stay motivated though. Mattie was here today and I'm pretty sure her cough sounds worse than ours here. I had heard her wheezing last week and I mentioned it to Debbie, but she said it was just allergies. I'm pretty sure it's a nasty cold just making it's way around.

My best friend, Anna, and I are starting a blog together. We've blogged together in the past. Blogger sure has come a looooong way since then *lol* It's just gonna be something girlie and random, but definitely something FUN :o) We're calling it Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust in honor of our favorite little fairy, Tinkerbell.

Runny Nose + Chest Congestion = BLAH!!

I wish the weather would stable out. All this cold one week, warm the next is sending my allergies for a loop. Not to mention just about everyone in the house has this nasty chest cold. We're all miserable. Mya and Nae Nae were in bed before 8 p.m. and were quite lethargic most of the day. I napped away most of my day and have been taking a coctail of allergy meds, cold & cough meds and breathing treatments of albuterol. I'm hoping I can kick this soon and not end up with yet another hospitalization. I've had 4 hospitalizations since May 27th, 2009 making a total of 6 since March 2008.

Mattie will be here in the morning. It's almost inevitable that she will catch this cold as well. Hopefully we will all feel better than we do now in the morning.

Monday Movie Meme: Your Movie Budget

I've decided to participate in the Monday Movie Meme, done by Bumble Town.

This week's topic is all about Your Movie Budget.

I'll admit, I'm cheap. I won't buy a movie when it's first released on DVD/Blu-Ray. Even if it's a movie I really want, I wait until it's been out for some time and the price drops. I'm a big fan of Wal-Mart's 2 for $11 bin :o) I very very rarely go to see movies in the theater anymore either. Even if you just get your ticket, the smallest popcorn and the smallest soda, the experience costs almost $20 anymore. So, I've settled on a Netflix membership. I have a minimal plan. 1 DVD/Blu-Ray out at a time and unlimited streaming for $8.95/mo. plus Blu-Ray access for an additional $2.00/mo. I got myself an HDTV and a PS3 for Christmas, so not only do I watch Blu-Ray movies from Netflix on the PS3, but I also have the Netflix instant streaming disk for the PS3. So, I get a whole month of entertainment for less than one trip to the movie theater. Not to mention that Netflix has a huge variety...you can find just about anything you're looking to watch, including TV series.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

crazy, spontaneous, outgoing

Ask me anything

Do you have any scars on your body? If so, how'd you get them?

I have a scar across my chest because when I was almost 3 years old I had to have a surgical repair at Boston Children's Hospital for a birth defect called Pectus Excavatum.

A Fresh Start

I've had numerous blogs and journals before. I do well maintaining and updating them for a while, but then I get busy and lose interest. It's the same old song and dance :o) However, since blogger and google are now connected and my gmail is the primary email address I use, I'm thinking hoping I will have better luck this time.

Some of you that come here may already know me, some of you do not. I have a short bio on the page, but to give you more of a run down...

I'm currently in between jobs and looking into starting the Pharmacy Tech program at National College of Business and Technology on June 1st. Until then, my days are spent babysitting a precious 3 year old little girl named Mattalyn (Mattie). My brother (Mike), his wife (Marie) and their four children (Makayla, Gavin, Mya & Meadow) currently live with me. I'm an Auntie to a total of 7 children, the 4 that live with me and a niece (Melodie) and 2 nephews (Zack and Bryson) that live in South Carolina. You'll probably hear about my angels a lot :)
