Update on My Foot

It looks and feels much worse today. Not to mention I went and worked a shift on it this morning. What you can't really see in the photo above is that the right side of my foot is a nice bluish tint.

I've been wrestling with the idea of going to the emergency room to have it looked at, but I don't have insurance. I'm able to walk on it, but it look and feels horrible. Tylenol isn't even doing anything for the pain at this point.

Thursday Thunks: A Face for Radio

1. What radio personality bothers you the most? Honestly, I can't think of any. Probably because I hardly ever listen to the radio anymore.

2. If abandoned alone in the wilderness, would you survive? I don't know, but I'd damn sure try.

3. If a sexy person was pursuing you, but you knew he was married, And neither his S/O or yours would never know, might you to the deed? I doubt it. Because even though they wouldn't know, I would and my conscience would eat me alive.

4. Do you like to pursue or be pursued? Be pursued. I'm too shy to pursue.

5. Use three words to describe yourself. Outgoing, spontaneous and caring.

6. If Berleen was on a camping trip, do you thing she’d attract grizzlies? I dunno...depends on where she was camping at I suppose.

9. Was your mom a cheerleader? I don't think she was...if she was, she's never mentioned it.

10. Was your dad a jock? Again, I don't think so. Wow, this has made me realize that I have never really discussed my parents high school years with them. Oops.

11. Bud’s been gone a while. Do you think he will return or shut down that Googled Warned blog? He'll return...eventually.

The Next Chapter

I've been in South Carolina for over 2 months now and everything is going well. I'm working part time, and although I wish I could get more hours than what I do, I'm just thankful to have a job. Something is definitely better than nothing.

School starts next week for me, Sarah, Melodie and Zack. Sarah and I are doing evening classes at Florence Darlington. Melodie is entering 2nd grade and Zack is starting Kindergarden. Poor Bryson is going to be so lost. His whole life, he's gone wherever Zack's gone. He's going to be upset that Zack's going to school and he isn't. Then again, maybe I'm wrong and he's going to love having all the toys and the Wii to himself during the day. Only time will tell...

I caught my pinky toe on something about 24 hrs. ago now and it still hurts. It was a lovely shade of blue this morning (the picture in my Wordless Wednesday post.) But as the day progressed, the bruising has gotten worse.

Wordless Wednesday: My Poor Pinky Toe!

This picture really does it NO justice.
My pinky toe and foot are much more blue than this.

August Happiness Challenge 2010: Day 6

Today's happiness factor is: Reading. There is nothing more comforting than to curl up with a good book. Specifically, I have a thing for books turned into movies. I'll read the book and then watch the movie. But, I also like a good series as well.

Meet Me on Monday

1. Do you watch any Soap Operas? I started watching General Hospital with my Mom back in the 90's when Luke and Laura returned. I eventually began watching All My Children, One Life to Live and Days of Our Lives as well. I haven't watched any of them in a little while but I'm sure if/when I ever catch an episode, I will know what's going on *lol*

2. What appliance is used the most in your house? The Dishwasher

3. Do you wear make-up every day? *gulp* No. I'm guilty of only putting make up on when I'm going somewhere or doing something that I think merrits it.

4. What is your worst pet-peeve? I hate it when I'm on the phone with someone and they say "I gotta go, let me call you back" and they don't call back. Especially if I had called them to talk about something important. Bottom line: don't tell me you're gonna call me back if you don't intend to!

5. What is your favorite lunch meat? *sigh* It's a toss up between Turkey and Bologna

Manic Monday

Right now, what's on your mind? My finances, my to-do list for today and school starting next week

List 10 things you expect from a good friend.
1. Loyalty
2. Honesty - simple, don't lie to me.
3. Trust - no friendship will make it without it
4. Acceptance - don't try to change who I am!
5. Support - for the decisions and choices I will have to make, regardless if you agree with them or not.
6. The ability to agree to disagree - no one ever agrees with each other 100% of the time.
7. Forgiveness - no one is perfect, we all make mistakes and you need to be able to forgive me when I mess up even if it takes you a little bit of time to do so.
8. A Strong Shoulder - for me to cry on whenever I need it.
9. An Open Ear - to listen to me should I need to spill my guts out.
10. The ability to have fun - what's the use of being friends if we're bored together?

What's something you've done that you wish you hadn't? I bought a car from a buy here/ pay here lot last year because I didn't have enough money to buy one straight out. It turned out to be such a mess!

Monday Movie Meme: Future Legends

This week's movie topic is all about Future Legends.

Share on your blog actors and actresses under 50 whose careers you think will become legendary, linking back here at The Bumbles. And don't forget to visit your fellow participants!

  • Dakota Fanning (age 16) - I fell in love with this sweet little girl in I am Sam and no matter what movie I've seen her in since then, her performance has never dissapointed me. She has a real talent for bringing her character to life. She's accomplished so much and she isn't even a legal adult yet. There is no doubt in my mind that her career will be legendary.
  • Johnny Depp (age 47) - This man is so versatile. He can pull off any role and draw you in. Not to mention, he's very good looking :o)

August Happiness Challenge 2010: Fail! /Day 5

I haven't made a post for the happiness challenge since day 4. Partly because of my procrasting nature and partly because it's hard to think of something new each day that makes me happy...and that doesn't sound very happy now does it?

But, I'm determined to stick with this challenge. Mainly because I know there are more than 31 things in my life that make me happy. I think I just take them for granted sometimes and this challenge will help me discover them.

Today's happiness factor is Playing ps3: Yes, I know. I'm a chick, but I LOVE video games. Especially old school Mario Bros. But, my most recent addiction is my ps3. More specifically, Socom Confrontation on ps3. I can't tell you how easy it is to put a smile on my face simply by popping the game in and shooting a few people *lol* Definitely a stress reliever, that's for sure!

The Sunday Seven

Name seven of the 50 “automotive eyesores” that you wouldn’t be ashamed to have in your driveway.

1. Plymouth Prowler
2. Toyota Prius
3. Volkswagen New Beetle
4. Cadillac Escalade
5. Chrysler PT Cruiser
6. BMW 7 Series
7. Hummer H2

Sunday Stealing: The Crafty Fifty Meme, Part 1

1. Introduce yourself. I am Noelle, age 26. Single college student living in South Carolina. My roommates are my "big bro", Richard and his wife, Sarah. They also have 3 beautiful kids...my niece Melodie (7), and my nephews Zack (5) and Bryson (3). I work part time and when I'm not working or going to school you will probably find me playing Socom Confrontation on my ps3, blogging or on facebook *lol* NOS energy drinks are my weekness!

5. Did you ever get into a bar and drink before you were 21? I sure did. I was a bit sneaky bout it though. I payed enough attention at the bar that I frequented to notice that if you had to go outside to your car after you had paid to get in, they put a wrist band on you to allow you back in the door without having to re-pay. This was also the same wrist band they put on those who were 21 and up. I left my cigarettes in the car one night ;) whooops!

6. What countries have you been to? None!

7. Do you watch MTV anymore? Every once in a while. More so now that I got started on watching 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom.

8. What do you think about Oprah? I think she's one smart woman.

10. You need a new pair of jeans: what store do you go to first? Lane Bryant or Old Navy

11. Did you ever watch The O.C.? Here and there.

12. What kind of car do you drive? None at the moment :( Hopefully that will change soon.

13. Honestly, is that car insured? The car I get will have to be insured because in the state of South Carolina, you have to show proof of insurance in order to register your car.

14. Do you like sushi? Love it!

15. Have you ever been to Tiffany & Co. or Saks 5th Ave? no

16. Did your parents spoil you growing up? Yeah...too much!

17. Do you like roller coasters? Love 'em!

18. What magazine(s) do you buy regularly or subscribe to? US Weekly

19. Do you remember the old WB show “Popular”? Vaguely

20. When you go out do you prefer to go to a dance club or to a bar? Bar

21. What do you think about gay marriage? I think it's no different than straight marriage. I think everyone should be able to pledge their life to another person, whether that person be of the same sex or opposite sex.

22. Who do you think will be the next president? I have no clue.

23. Are you registered to vote? yes

24. Do you own an iPad? I wish...I haven't even made it to the iTouch yet *lol*
